What a difference a day makes

Last year United fans had a giggle at our expense because we aimed for Kaka and got Bellamy. What a difference a day makes, from Ribery to Owen in 24 hours. - He who laughs last etc

  1. Scum United is just that, an joke, i still insist they should rename United.

    McGlazers United

    or

    Salford United

because in 3 generations of my family life there has never ever been a United Manchester.

  2. If he does sign for the Freds, I wonder how long it will take for Capello to recall Owen back into the England squad?

  5. I wish him well. He always comes across as a decent lad and looking at the footage on SKY/SN he looks like he's in dreamland. Of course I say that now in sure and certain knowledge that the 1st time I see him in a rag kit I'll be wishing the short-*rse scouse judas litle tw*t a similar time at the swamp as he had @ the toon!!

  7. I have nothing against Owen, I like him in fact and I am very respectful of his record as a striker. My MU supporting friends all seem quite happy with the deal as if reports are true and he has signed on a nominal wage (which is still probably £50000 per week) and then a bonus depending on goals and appearences, then it may yet turn out to be a decent deal for United. When clubs like Newcastle buy Owen, they need him to be fit, playing and scoring for 90% of the time to justify the huge transfer fee and wages. Something that you can't depend on Owen doing with his injury record. However United can afford to let him play one in five matches like many others in their squad, or bring him on with fifteen minutes to go to turn a game. Also, he will get many more chances playing at O/T than he ever did at Brown Ale land. My big beef is that he will be included in the next England squad without even playing a game for the reds, simply the fact that he is a United player will be enough for his inclusion.
