I smell a rat
So the rags camp were pleased that Mario was in instead of Carlos? Last year they came out and supported Roberto in the Munichgate fiasco. I smell a rat.i don't trust em. Whilst I think Mancini has been daft in not playing Carlos in recent games he obviously preferred Mario for his height as the rags have been shit in the air at the back. However i think they're going a bit over the top as it were re Mario trying to force a situation maybe. They seem to have a lot to say about City - do we go on and on about them in the same way? No. And i think Neil has a point. You're not telling me that rags fans weren't chucking stuff. If it had been a City fan surely it would've been a pound coin, not a 2pence piece (joke)? I didn't see the incident but the aggression on Rio's face in the photos was beyond the pale. Also who's to say that if Carlos had started, the game would've been different. It wasn't Mario who caused the first two goals, and we've seen how Dzeko plays from the start as opposed to coming on late in games. The rags were stuffy, we were the better team and should have won. Let's move on....

re what you say about the football, I agree, especially about Mario who seems to get all the blame even when the problem is clearly our defending.
ReplyDeletere "the aggression on Rio's face", get a grip. Nothing any player does on the pitch in any game would cause me, or you, or my friends or your friends, to try and do someone a serious mischief by chucking coins or whatever at the guy's face. Anywhere else other than a football stadium, if you attacked a guy because of "the aggression on his face" we'd all agree that you need locking up. You'd get no sympathy and no-one offering excuses for you. So don't start offering excuses just because this time the thug is "one of ours" and the victim is a rag.
(Oh and by the way - that "aggression" on Rio's face was the look of a guy who really cared about winning. If Nasri cared as much as Rio did, we wouldn't have lost)
Fair Do's CITD, being Blues and fair minded at heart, we can all see that. Think back to Vinny's face last season when he scored that bullit header right in front of the rag fans, he didn't get nything thrown at him. I think we are all feeling a bit pissed off because of the way we lost AGAIN to them. If we'd been outplayed for 97 minutes, you can accept it, but as Dave says, in reality we were the better side and when we levelled there was only going to be one winner. If the press would recognise that, again, you wouldn't mind but of course instead we've had endless gloating from their players and fans.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but it would have made more sense if Rooney had been hit by a coin because he was the one who went out of his way to antagonise. Then we could all have a proper arguement.
ReplyDeleteAs for Rio I stand by my previous comment. If it was a City fan it would have been picked up by CCTV and HD Technology within a few hours. The reason it hasn't been traced is because it came from a mass of celebrating rags, all of them dressed in black, arms aloft and none of them in their correct seats. The culprit would have been aiming for the City fans.
Ferdinand was facing the rags and was hit on the forehead. Unless coins can boomerang that immediately discounts about 99 perc ent of all the City fans in the ground.
