All heroic effort, memories of the C/L final, etc. Remember last season after a valiant, albeit in vain, exit from 3 down to lose on away goals, our exit was City crash out of Europe, etc. Also, 'pool had the best part of 30 mins to grab another goal, whereas we had about 10. I was quite happy for Chelsea and Spuds to progress to give them the extra games, and who gives a bugger who wins the E/L? Doubtless if united were to win it, we'd get an open top parade etc.
