Sunday
Good interview by David Conn on Pablo Zabaleta in the Guardian
yesterday. Rags beat norwich 4-0 so we're 15 behind again
Today’s manumirror is full of the City flops who are
likely to go in the summer including Nasri, Dzeko, Tevez, Kolo Toure, Lescott –
bet that motivates em for the rest of the season?
Not long before Spurs v Arsenal, hoping for a draw
or an Arsenal win.
Tomorrow we’ve got Villa away, here’s the It’s A Fix
extract from KK 204:
28)
MONDAY MARCH 4TH : A. VILLA (AWAY) KO 8PM
Last promotion was in 1988 Last pot League Cup in
1996. 146th league meeting. Recent connections : Gareth Barry, James
Milner, Stevie Ireland, Richard Dunne
This
season so far they’re in 18th
place with 24 points from 27 games and 3 wins 4 draws 6 losses at home.
At
the Etihad in November it was a 5-0 City win, the goals coming from
Silva (43) Aguero (54 dubious penalty, 67), Tevez (65 pen, 74). Crowd was
47,072 with 1,049 Villans.
In
the Capital One Cup they bea us
4-2, in the 3rd rd, Swindon away 3-2 in the 4th, Norwich
away 4-1 in the 5th, lost the
first leg of the semi-final away to Bradford City 3-1, won the 2nd
2-1 so missed out agonisingly on a Final
appearance.
In
the FA Cup they beat Ipswich 2-1 at home but lost 2-1 at Millwall
in the 4th rd
Our
form at Villa : last season it was a 1-0 City win with Lescott
notching the winner (63) against the club he supported as a youngster. That
made it 5 wins, 6 draws 4 losses and for City : WLDLDWWWDLDWDDL
Groundwise
: Usual spot, tucked away at one end of the Sir Doug
Ellis stand, out of sight of the TV cameras. Home crowd filter through the away
fans at the end when there’s always a bit of erm banter between both sets.
Tickets are : £41/£33
Villa
Park - Capacity : 42,602 (3,000 for City)
Comment:
Wretched season for Villa under highly rated Paul
Lambert embroiled in a real relegation battle, and out of both cups. For City
though we must take advantage on a fairly lucky ground where we’ve already won,
beating Chelsea in the Community Shield. They do pack a punch with Benteke and
Agboniahor so we have to be wary as we didn’t in the Capital One Cup game.
WWTWTWShite: Averaged 15,237 in 1985/86 and this season it’s 33,771.
Parking is becoming more and more difficult on the streets with restrictive
zones.
Away
day zine : Heroes and Villains, swap with KK and well worth
picking up
Sat
Nav : B6 6HE
