I thought Peter Schmeichel was fairly kind to Joe on MOTD saying the criticism is too much
But added that he should be on his toes for corners and concentrate on the ball. thoughts that he needs pushing are bollocks, Bert, Banks and co didn't need pushing.
I see Pellegrini was attacked at O/T – would you expect anything else from that club’s supporters?
David McDonnell in the manumirror is really pissing me off. Every column or article he does on City includes a dig. Can someone at the club have a go please?
Search for a centre half as cover is hotting up. News awaited.
Reminder that the deadline for KK208 is Tuesday Sept 3rd and it’s our 25th anniversary issue.
Champs league draw wasn’t too bad though Moscow and the Czech club have small ground capacities unless they change to a bigger venue.
Tomorrow it’s Hull and an early start. Here’s the It’s A Fix update from KK207
3) SATURDAY AUGUST 31ST: HULL (HOME) KO 12.45 PM
First season back in the Prem for Hull since they went down in 2010 after a couple of seasons in the Prem.
In the three seasons they’ve been away Phil Brown, Nigel Pearson and Nick Barmby have vacated the managers chair and Chairman Assem Allam appointed Steve Bruce at the start of last season.
They gained promotion on the last day of the season, finishing in second place with 79 points, 8 behind leaders Cardiff, 2 ahead of 3rd place Watford and with 11 wins 3 draws and 9 losses away from home.
Last Pot : Erm, none
Celeb fans : Sinitta, Roy North (Basil Brush’s mate) Omar Sharif, Tom Courtney, John Alderton, John Prescott (possibly)
This is our 11th league meeting
Form at home to Hull: 3 meetings pre war with 2 wins and a draw plus post war 2 wins and a draw also, all in the 2nd division..
Two meetings in the Prem, the infamous 5-1 in 08/09, City 4 up at half time then Phil Brown’s half time team talk on the pitch, final score 5-1.
Then in 09/10 it was a 1-1 draw, SWP scoring(45) and Bullard equalising from the spot (82) after which he enacted Phil’s talk after the Hull equaliser, which was very funny. Not. Crowd was 46,382 with 2358 Tigers.
For City : DWWWDWDW
This season so far : they lost at West Ham 2-0, beat Norwich 1-0 at home.
In the Capital One Cup they won at Leyton Orient 1-0 and face Huddersfield at home in the 3rd round
Comment : Another unknown quantity apart from manager Steve Bruce, the Elephant man!
They’ve made a few signings so far , Boyd, Figuero, Davies, and Huddlestone plus have released a load of players with no household names amongst them. Everyone referred to them as The Tigers when I lived in Hull, so no surprise that their owner wants them to be referred to by that name. Anyway, there’s only one City – Us!
3 points for definite.
