Tuesday/ Wednesday

Tuesday/Wednesday
So to the night we’ve all been waiting for. It started to rain as we parked up and never stopped. All our invalids turned up so full marks to our sellers for braving the elements though sales were hit by the weather.
Don’t talk to me about ice bucket challenges – we all suffer that at virtually every game!
Interesting to view the changes to the South stand and the second tier balcony wall adverts. Most distracting and why adverts in red at kick off? No banners either now which is a shame.
A bit ironic that when I first visited Maine Road in the 50’s it was one of the few grounds that sported adverts on the stands.
Intriguing game – Jovetic brilliant, as were all our boys, but disappointing that we did one of our daft corners that led to the Liverpool breakaway then Demichelis was outmuscled by Sturridge of all people which led to their consolation goal.
Liverpool fans sang songs to the tune of Rivers of Babylon and Fields of Athenry – whatever happened to She loves you? We played Hey Jude at the end, a bit of a strange choice under the circumstances. Glad we didn’t sink to their (and Stoke’s level) and boo every touch of their players.
Did you have a pang seeing Mario with the Liverpool mafia? Me too.
Watched the game on TV when we got home and the Liverpool love in continued – totally biased by Smith and Tyler (I think) so good to give em their cum uppance.
Oh and apparently we defended our title poorly in 2012/13, finishing a lowly 2nd!
Rags have broken the bank today – someone tell me how this FFP thing is supposed to work? They lost 4-0 to MK Dons tonight. It’s the draw for the next round tomorrow night and Thursday it’s the Chimps league draw, rags aren’t in either!!!! Exciting times for us Blues

  1. February 2011: Manchester United host a party to celebrate Manchester City’s 35 years of misfortune. One of their “Former Legends” David May ridicules the City support for lacking a sense of humour.
Three years later, City are League Champions and May is the Sky TV Pundit as Clipboard Louis loses 4-0 to the Wombles of Milton Keynes.
Are we laughing loud enough Mr May?

    1. So a nice easy draw in the CL again. From the 13th- 21st Sept Arsenal away Bayern away Chelsea at home. Chelsea have Swansea home Schalke 04 home. I vote we change the club song to " We shall overcome".
